Tourmaline Besom

This besom features straw bristles, a twine wrapped handle, a chunk of tourmaline (the protector stone) Feathers and adorned with a pentagram pendant. 

Spiritual use of besoms:
Besoms are used for Cleansing and protecting.
Paganism utilises besoms by physically and symbolically sweeping away negative energy particularly before and after rituals and spell-work.
It is believed to place a besom by your front door (traditionally above your front door) it will protect your home for negative forces.
Besoms can also be used to fan incense and cleansing herbs throughout the home.

Besoms a very brief history:
Before we had the household brooms we use today besoms were used to keep the house tidy, used for centuries. Traditionally people would fasten their own besoms together using twigs, branches and straw and use them to sweep their homes, workshops and garden areas.
